Thanks for these questions too!
Obviously, the situation is fast-moving and everyone is in shock. Our leadership strongly condemns Putin's actions and basically every person I know here has (via Facebook) expressed their support for the people of Ukraine. Yesterday there were pro-Ukraine, pro-peace demonstrations in cities including Helsinki and Joensuu (Eastern Finland) with more planned all over the country in the coming days.
I actually did my PhD on young people's in Finland's 'memories' of the WWII era so yes I have heard quite a few accounts. I have also done quite a lot of research into the Winter War (the 1939-40 war) and have been helping one person try to find out what happened to his grandfather who was killed in battle in 1940.
So you can AMA about WWII-era Finland too if you like!
